What is "The American Teenager?"

I think that the "American Teenager" is a ton of different things. When I think of the American teenagers I think of people my age, the drama, the competition, the stress! I personally don't like the "American Teenager." They lie, they spread gossip, and sometimes they're just not nice. Of course, not all teenagers are like this, but that's how I see it, and the thing that sucks the most is that I am an "American Teenager." I am the type of teenager who would rather like to talk to a 50 year old adult then a 15 year old guy or girl. Sure, I try to get along with people my age, but sometimes I just wish I was 60 years old.
